Question/Information

At the end of the walk we go to St. John's Church in Narva. It was a church originally built in 1641 for the Swedish congregation in Narva. In 1704 it was converted into a Russian Orthodox Church, and in 1733 it was handed over by the authorities to a German Lutheran congregation, to which an Estonian congregation was formed in 1866. How many times before the complete destruction of the March 1944 bombing had the church building been seriously damaged in previous accidents?
