The Narva Estonian Society operated in this building (Peter's Square 5), and the theater "Ilmarine" grew out of it, where originally all the actors were amateurs. The theather troupe featured a number of talented actors, including Franz and Hugo Malmsten. Franz's grandson Mait is one of the most famous actors in today's Estonia.
